Promising Ewes Purchased In 2022
In 2022 Black Ridge Katahdins Farm hit the ground running attending some of the major sheep sales across the United States. Purchasing ewes was something we here at Black Ridge Katahdins took very seriously, we spent countless hours looking at online pictures, being on the phone with owners, and of course inspecting them in person. We believe we made some great choices from some of the top farms in the US. Some of the farms include in no specific order Heavenly Oaks, Rack Of Lamb Corral, Smohalla Acres, Hancock Katahdins, Lauden Acres, Keifer Sheep Farms, and Prarie Lane Farms. We are very excited to create our own line of genetics, taking those exceptional ewe’s and breeding them to the finest quality rams, so that we can offer a line of astounding Katahdins. While breeding we look for many things including but not limited to maternal instincts, parasite resistant, heavy weening weights, and longevity to go along with their stunning pedigree’s.
